Pop Music on British Television 1955 - 1999

From the Radio Times "Television's new Ice-Discery where you can Skate, Shake or Just Listen." It was a one-off series, following the previous year’s Hot Ice, where ice-skaters would perform an ice-dance interpretation of a new record release, this time the artists actually appeared, while the music chosen would be more contemporary beat music.

Hosted by former skater, turned actor, turned DJ, turned TV presenter David Jacobs, it was recorded at the Ice Stadium in Nottingham and not only featured the likes of the Yardbirds, The Spencer Davis Group, Brian Poole & The Tremeloes and Marianne Faithfull it also presented the finest ice dancing talent in the UK.
