Pop Music on British Television 1955 - 1999

An arts and science show, curiously broadcast early evenings 6.00 - 6.30 pm, including a break for Granada's Newsview.

Information from a Time Out article, posted on the Missing Episodes board by Mark Dixon suggests the show was hosted by former Oz co-editor Andrew Fisher, but that's about as far as we get regarding the show as very little information exists presumably since, it's assumed, little if anything exists of the show itself. That's a shame since guests included Quintessence, Badfinger, Love, Taste, Ron Geesin, Mighty Baby and the only known TV appearance of Nick Drake, probably in late March 1970. The show was also looking for local talent to present on a dedicated show.

From the little information circulating a cross between Tomorrow's World and Disco 2 would have made for a strange twenty-five minutes, but to be fair it lasted six months.
