A SWINGIN’ TIME

BBC / BBC1
25th July 1963 - 2nd July 1964

Hosted by Rolf Harris from the BBC's Birmingham studios it was another tea time pop show with many of the chart acts of the day performing in the studio, although some of the acts appearing wouldn't necessarily appeal to an audience now wanting Merseybeat.

The Musical Director was Les Reed, later to write many hit songs for Herman's Hermits, Tom Jones, The Dave Clark Five and many more.

It ran for two series 25th July 1963 - 19th September 1963 and 14th May 1964 - 2nd July 1964
