Pop Music on British Television 1955 - 1999

Another neglected gem from the Kings of tea-time pop, Granada. Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias were a Manchester comedy band whose career peak was during the punk era, releasing albums and EPs for Transatlantic and Stiff before unexpectedly turning to kids' TV in 1982 just before they split.

It's generally forgotten how much humour was generated by bands like The Albertos, John Cooper-Clarke, John Dowie and Ian Dury & The Blockheads during punk and this show was probably the nearest we would get to a modern day take on Do Not Adjust Your Set.

Each show was written by band member C.P.Lee and would examine a letter of the alphabet in sketches and songs.
