Similar in content to Top Numbers which it sometimes alternated with on a Sunday night, with emphasis on sheet music sales, rather than record sales. It would compliment The Jack Jackson Show, which director Peter Glover who was also working on.
The concept was to concentrate on the song, not how the record sounds. As Glover told TV Times "We will only be concerned with words and melodies, and we will book singers who are suitable, not necessarily the singers who have made the hit records." Jack Parnell provided the musical backing to regular singers Ken Morris and Joan Regan plus weekly guests singers.
