Pop Music on British Television 1955 - 1999

From the TV Times "First of five half-hour programmes, presented by Jon Mack and Gary Crowley, in which young people speak their minds and enjoy music from a guest band."

Taking the lead from BBC2's Something Else Thames, the station that brought you the Sex Pistols at tea time, decided to go for the youth angst vote. The show was co-hosted by journalist and DJ Gary Crowley while the show was produced by ex-pirate DJ and later Conservative MP Roger Gale. It appears only to have been shown in the Thames area.

Among the musical acts that turned up at Euston Road over the two series were Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Squeeze, The Photos and Ian Dury.

The show finished with a compilation collection in Christmas 1981.
